Dr. Guy Didier FOE OWONO is a seasoned professional with over 25 years of global expertise in medical device manufacturing. His leadership spans more than 15 years, showcasing a diverse skill set encompassing Design Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, Quality Management, Clinical Operations, Cybersecurity, and GDPR Compliance.
Guy is a results-oriented Executive, known for managing multidisciplinary teams worldwide. He has successfully led testing activities for 25 major software and hardware projects, including the development of four Proton Therapy devices and two MRI dian devices over the last two decades.
Currently serving as the Director of Quality Process and Product Improvement at Intuitive Surgical, Guy coordinates the Cybersecurity Working Group, overseeing Final Quality Inspection, Simulated-Use teams, and Global Supply Quality. He is instrumental in developing and implementing strategic quality initiatives, ensuring continuous product improvement.
Guy holds a Ph.D. in Engineering Management & Decision Sciences from Walden University and a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering & Biomedical Engineering from Dresden University of Technology in Germany. Additionally, He possesses numerous certifications such as ISO 13485:2016 ASQ Certified Lead Auditor, Six Sigma Black Belt, and has expertise in various industry standards.
An influential figure in the healthcare industry, Guy has contributed to publications and possesses excellent knowledge in ISO standards, FDA regulations, risk management, and cybersecurity. As a leader in the high-tech sector, he offers valuable insights into the dynamic landscape of the healthcare industry. He is a senior member of the American Society for Quality (ASQ), a member of the International Register of Certificated Auditors (IRCA), and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
Guy's interests extend beyond the professional realm. With a Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do, he is passionate about aviation, soccer, table tennis, languages, and cultures. He loves travelling, discovering new places, cultures, and traditions.
